Welcome

Hi, I’m Paul and thanks for visiting.  This website archives things I’ve written over the past 20 years or so, including my weekly columns for the Albion News, letters, speeches, essays etc.  It also gives an overview of my work as a musician, in the community and in the field of rural development.

In addition to my work as a writer and musician, I’ve been co-director of the Albion Area Arts Council with my wife Lori since 2005 and a board member of the Boone County Historical Society since 2007.  I was also a member of the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission from 2007 – 2015, and am active in several educational outreach projects.

Photos in Exhibit and Book

My older son William and I are pleased to have had two of our photos and accompanying information included in a collection of pictures from all of Nebraska’s counties celebrating Nebraska’s 150th birthday.  William’s is of the Spalding Dam in Greeley County and mine is of the newly-rebuilt mill bridge in Antelope County.  These photos are currently being exhibited across the state and are also included in the book Nebraska: 150 Years Told Through 93 Counties by David Hendee and published by the Omaha World-Herald.
